All of these were photographed in our back yard in north west San Diego county. Some of the photos on the page may have been then elsewhere such as a Costa but at least some where at taken at our feeders. August is the most active time of the year with both residents and an occasional migrant.

Orange back but a small percentage have green back. Notch tail feather the best identifier and in San Diego only seen normally at 2 migration times.
